With the rapid development of feed industry and bioenergy industry, the demand of the pellet mill is getting greater and greater and the requirement of performance of pellet mill is also increasing. However, the disadvantage of low output and high energy consumption have been the bottleneck of pellet mill's development and weakened its international competitiveness. This thesis mainly adopts theory modeling, computer simulation and experimental verification to study the efficient and energy saving pelletization techniques:(1) Based on the studies of granulation mechanism, the stress area of roller has also been identified. The torque model and the energy consumption model on pelleting are built.(2) Six different kinds of roller bracing structure have been designed and analyzed with FEA and the results show that the location of the supporting shafts, cross-sectional area and shape have an effect on the its rigidity. If selecting the appropriate structure, the rigidity can be increased by more than 25%. It'll improve the stability and cut off energy consumption.(3) The extrusion process of different materials have been analyzed with the method of finite element analysis, the result shows that selective length-diameter ratio can reducing energy consumption.(4) The natural frequency and the vibration mode are calculated by means of modal analysis to the rotor system. Then comparative analysis of the rotor system was made with different boundaries and rib thickness.(5) The model of the rotor systems has been built. Based on the models dynamic characteristics of rotor systems were analyzed. The result shows that a selective speed for specific material can stabilize the pellet process, and the stability of pellet was influenced.(6) The torsion tests have been carried out and the results testify the dynamic analysis result of rotor system.The results of the research have great significance in improving granulation mechanism, increasing pellet production and reducing energy consumption.
