| China's electrical enterprise has always been focused on the increasing of product quality and product technology, with little emphasis on the role of industrial design. There are many conflicts between industrial designers and engineering designers because of their different thinking modes. The poor convergence leads to increasing product costs,extending product development cycle and hindering the development of enterprises. The author thinks it is import to study the interface between the two which can make the company have a good development.First, in this paper the author makes a general state on the concept of electrical products, defines that the electrical products which studied means switches and sockets in building electrical accessories. Then the author points out the necessity in convergence of industrial design and engineering design through a brief analysis of problems which exists in electrical products design.Second, finds the convergence point through analysis of the connection and differences of industrial design and engineering design.Third, carefully presents the poor convergence and analyses the reason for the status to find measures to achieve convergence. The measures can be taken through the industrial designers and manage methods. Designers should be reinforced engineering basic knowledge, use engineering elements to reduce the conflict. Simultaneously, introduce design management thinking to have a proper plan and management on designers and model mode of design organization and design process to make designer have a high efficient and coordinated work environment. After that build a design interface based on IPD in order to make the manager easily coordinate and plan product development process, then uses a multi-index comprehensive evaluation method for quantitative, scientific evaluation of design projects. Finally the author makes an actual design project to verify the results of research, and made good result, it demonstrates the validity of this research. |
