Piston pump/motor which plays the role of energy storage and output is a key component of hydraulic hybrid vehicles. It must have a wide displacement adjustable range and a full frame high-efficiency working condition. Traditional pump/motor is difficult to adjust the displacement, and existing piston/motor equipped flow valve can not meet the requirements of the regulation scope and efficiency under small-displacement either as the frequency response of the flow valve are too low. To achieve the application requirements, high-speed On/Off valves must be equipped to the variable displacement piston pump/motor. Therefore, this paper conducted a study on high-speed On/Off valve and its electromagnet which applied in radial variable displacement piston pump/motor.There are six chapters of this paper:The first chapter of this paper introduced the research background of high-speed On/Off valve, and analysis the significance of high-speed On/Off valve research. Based on comparing and studying different high-speed On/Off valve researches and other related technologies over the world, we concluded that there are many advantages and disadvantages in existing high-speed On/Off valve research. And thus, we proposed research objectives and content of this project.In chapter 2, according to the working condition of the radial variable displacement piston pump and motor, derived design requirements for high-speed On/Off valve, compared the pros and cons of various design options, and then established the holistic scheme. At the end of this chapter a brief introduction about the working principles was given.In chapter 3, we obtained the main structure parameters of outflow poppet valve with moving sleeve. A poppet valve model was established using HCD module of AMESim, and a series simulation analysis was made upon this model to test the characteristics of the valve. Described the effects of flow force on outflow poppet valve, and the flow force of the traditional outflow poppet valve was calculated. Analysis the steady flow force of outflow poppet valve with moving sleeve using Computational Fluid Dynamics software, meanwhile, the transient flow force in the moving state were calculated and analyzed.In chapter 4, obtained the main structure parameters of annular disc electromagnet, the theoretical calculations of electromagnet about static and dynamic characteristics were done. Based on Ansoft simulation software, the finite element model of the electromagnet was established, the static and dynamic characteristics of annular disc electromagnet as well as parts of the parameters obtained before were optimized and verified. The inductance and temperature rise of electromagnet coil were studied. And the studies on static and dynamic characteristics were successfully done by using static and dynamic characteristics test bench.In chapter 5, the integrated simulation tests for high-speed On/off valve were conducted based on the pump/motor test bench as a platform. The simulation results were analyzed in detail, and the key structural parameters got optimized design. The preliminary study on the high speed On/Off valve was carried out, the existing problems were analyzed and discussed.The main research work has been summarized and a further study direction of the content and direction was put forward in Chapter six.
