With the rapid development of electric power industry, the reliability of power grid is proposed higher requirements and the intelligent of electrical equipment has become one of hot topic studies recently. A system control scheme is proposed which is based on the simulation of brushless DC operating mechanism motion control of high voltage circuit breaker. Through the effective control of motor operating mechanism, the opening and closing operation of high voltage circuit breaker can be completed by with the ideal curve. So, the solid foundation will be laid for the development of smart grid and the intelligent of electrical equipment.Firstly, Research the requirements of the vacuum circuit breaker for operating mechanism, mathematical model of brushless DC motor and conduction mode of main circuit. According to the speed requirement of moving contact in the vacuum interrupter,the ideal operation curves of motor during the opening and closing operation of high voltage circuit breaker are made. The operating which based on the ideal operation curves can improve the breaking performance, reduce mechanical wear and prolong the interrupter.Secondly, the control system of hardware circuit and software system was designed by TI company using the special chip TMS320F2812 of motor control, which mainly consist of DSP minimum system, power circuit, rotor position detection circuit, communication circuit and system information feedback circuit. And TI company also made PCB board after contacted with the manufacturers. In DSP software complier environment CCS3.3, system software was edited and debugged, in order to make the following function effective, the function of testing the contact travel of circuit breaker, the motor speed and the electricity at any time.Finally,the experiment on of the control system with high-voltage circuit breaker and brushless DC motor operating mechanism has been done. The driving signal of power device, moving contact of high-voltage circuit breaker, the current and corner of motor operating mechanism are detected on real time. The experimental result shows the control system designed can drive brushless DC motor operating mechanism to spur the opening and closing operation of high voltage circuit breaker. Reliability and rationality of the control system can testified.
