Compound cage rotor is applied by compound cage rotor asynchronous instead of traditional solid rotor.Steel layers or copper and iron alloys are applied by rotor outer layer,while traditional cage winding is applied by rotor inner layer.Compound cage rotor motor has excellent starting performance the same as solid rotor motor,which is applicable for heavy dutied machine.Compound cage rotor asynchronous motor at rated speed has higher efficiency and power factor than solid rotor.Compound cage rotor is of simple construction and durability.Good starting performance and operational performance of the motor makes its wide range application in heavy load and big moment of inertia occasions.Compound layer is adopted by compound cage rotor induction motor,resulting in lower efficiency and power factor than traditional asynchronous motor.The motor design is not perfect enough,which limits development of such motor and application.Ansoft Maxwell two dimensional finite element software is applied to analyze motor magnetic field and eddy current field deeply.Deep research and expermental verification are made on design of compound cage rotor motor.Equivalent circuit method is used to research compound cage rotor motor.The rotor parameters are calculated using the method,then the motor performance parameters is computed.By comparing the analysis and experimental results,the method is proved to be relatively accurate.Basic principle of multi-layer theory analyzing compound cage rotor asynchronous motor is described.The method is applied to calculate and analyze compound cage rotor parameters.Then motor performance parameters are computed.By analyzing the results,flux density and permeability of rotor layer material variations with slips can be considered adequately,which provides a certain basis for compound cage rotor induction motor design.To accurately calculate motor parameters,Ansoft MAXWELL finite element software was applied.Two-dimension finite element model coupling field-circuit-motion was set up. Magnetic field at different slips was calculated directly.Motor performance parameters were obtained.The alloy material and depth have some influence on motor performance,which provides reference for motor optimal design.Based on analysis of motor performance parameters dynamic changes process,reasonableness of compound cage rotor structural design was testified.Compared with analytical and experimental results,the project effectiveness of the calculation method was verified.
