With the emission regulation being stringent increasingly, Continuous Regeneration Trap (CRT) has been widely applied for many advantages, such as high filtration efficiency and low operating requirements. However, because of long-term using or abnormal usage, CRT may get aging, blocking or damaging, which seriously influents the working efficiency. Nowadays, there are few researches about faults of CRT, especially on the CRT fault diagnosis algorithm. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze on the fault diagnosis of diesel after-treatment system CRT.The simulation models of diesel engine, diesel vehicle and CRT are established by using GT-Power, which could calculate emission performance of diesel engine and analyze the fault of CRT.Through simulation, the emission performances were obtained. In order to analysis variation of soot mass equilibrium amount, this paper analyzed the influence of CRT regeneration characteristic affected by the different NO2concentrations, exhaust temperature, initial soot mass and the different driving cycles.According to the simulation models, the sensitive degree of CRT aging, blocking and damaging failures for exhaust temperature and exhaust back pressure, exhaust component has been studied. The results of the study show that the exhaust temperature and exhaust back pressure are suitable as fault characteristic parameters, and the fault diagnosis technology program is finished. By using simulation, CRT fault diagnosis technology program has been turned out feasible with some diagnostic algorithms.CRT fault diagnosis technology is analyzed, through typical faults and their detection methods, diagnosis modes, fault recognition, and system calibration. On this basis, a summary design of CRT fault diagnosis system, which include self-checked process for powering algorithm, sensor electrical signal fault detection algorithm, fault diagnosis algorithm for CRT and fault data management, are designed.BP neural network model of CRT fault diagnosis is built up. After analysis, it is the "Trainlm" that become the most suitable learning algorithm. Based on D-S evidence theory, information fusion technology for CRT fault diagnosis is analyzed. The result of study show that the accuracy for CRT fault diagnosis can be improved by using the information fusion technology.The Analysis on diesel after-treatment system fault diagnosis for CRT aging and failure is supposed to promote depth study. Meanwhile, this paper provides reference for other faults research of CRT.
