Driver is the dominant factor in the man-machine system and easily be effect by environment. Studies show that drivers traveling on roads relying on sensory organs (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, skin) to get road traffic information, which mainly visual information. A normal person to obtain information from the outside world more than 87% depends on the vision; whether can the driver's driving operations rapidly and effectively to a great extent depends on whether can the driver obtain vision information from the outside world. This is directly related to light environment. When the light illumination is too low, the driver can not identify and treatment visual information quickly. The driver spends a long time to treatment visual information, effectting driver's operation, thereby affecting the driver's driving safety. When the light illumination is too high, the driver's eyes acceped the light stimulus is too large, easily lead to eye discomfort, will also affect the driver's driving operation. Therefore, research on the effect to driver of environment illumination is very important for driver's safety. This paper records the driver's physiological parameters of eye movements in real traffic environment and indoor simulation experiment, use statistical methods for processing and analyzing the collected data. Research the law of average heart rate, respiratory rate, blinking frequency, the average blink duration, average fixation duration in different light conditions. Respectively study physiological indexes in what illumination condition made the ideal value. Eventually obtained average heart rate, respiratory rate, average blink duration present the law of parabola with the changes of illumination. When the driving process is not discussion the case of fatigue, only the impact of illumination, average heart rate obtain the minimum during illumination to 21001x,drivers feel most comfortable. Illumination to 24001x, the respiration rate reaches a minimum, the driver relatively quiet. Illumination to 2017.51x, the average blink duration reaches a max, the case of fatigue does not appear in the driving process and the driver's eyes get enough rest, so the ideal value is 2017.51x. Blink frequency, the average duration present the law of straight line with the changes of illumination. Blink frequency increased with the changes of illumination, fixation duration decreased with the illumination. In the above conclusions, based on the comprehensive five physiological indicators, used five indices to test wheather can the composite indicator cluster analysis distinguish between different light environment illuminations? Cluster illumination light environment impact Physiological indicators in a similar level. Finally, using principal component analyses establish light environment assessment model based on eye movement parameters and physiological indicators. With the subjective evaluation about Light environment of laboratory personnel, obtained a conclusion that scores calculated using this method the lower the better.
