| Swelling rocks is a type of special soft rocks, it can expand when absorbing water and shrink when losing water, as the special physical and mechanical properties, various questions of the instability of slopes common occurrence which gives important influences to the safety and cost of engineering. Guangxi is a typical swelling rocks distributing area in China, and is widely distributed, number of construction is restricted by the problem of swelling rocks slopes. Therefore, studying on the deformation and destruction mode, with the prevention and control measures of swelling rocks slopes, in order to solve the complicated and volatile problem of swelling rocks slopes, keeping the long-term stability of swelling rocks slopes has an important meaning.In this paper, on the basis of full collecting the exploration and design information of the existing slopes and landslides in swelling rocks area of Guangxi, statistically analyze the fundamental physical and mechanical properties firstly. Then analyze and summarize the deformation and destruction mode, failure mechanism, destruction characteristics, the main factors of slope instability, and the stability analysis method of the swelling rocks slopes; Study the variation of the shear strength for sliding belt soil, and analyze its comprehensive determination method with an engineering example. Through the mathematical statistic analysis, the range of parameters's recommendation value are proposed, such as the shear strength of sliding belt soil and swelling rock, subgrade horizontal resistance coefficient, bonding strength within mudstone and mortar. Finally, combining with the the experience of the success and failure in the existing swelling rocks slopes and landslides controlling in Guangxi, summarize the comprehensive prevention and control measures to the swelling rocks slopes, which will have some instruction meaning to the controling of swelling rocks slopes in Guangxi. |
