With the progress of science and technology, optical system towards large diameter direction, which makes the detection of large aperture optical component surface error to become an important task to solve. The sub-aperture stitching technology is the use of the interferometer with small caliber and high resolution to test large-aperture optical element surface. With the continuous development and improvement of the technology, the degree of automation has been put forward higher requirements. This paper designs a sub-aperture scanning positioning system, which maintain the measured element not move, by moving the interferometer to the sub-aperture image acquisition.The design of this system is divided into two parts:the design of mechanical system and software programs. Design of mechanical part mainly though the study of various components of the motion control system and their operating principle, analysis and comparison of its performance, according to the project request, to buy servo drive and ball screw model, then according to the various technical indicators put forward specific design requirements. The software program is divided into three stages:The first is the preparation of the PLC internal instructions, use Ladder Master programming software to write ladder instructions; Then use the Visual C++ development platform for the preparation of the RS232 serial command; the final preparation of the mobile control software interface MOPO, the use of serial communication control interface written in MSComm, the control can greatly simplify the preparation of the interface program.In sub-aperture stitching test experiment, the testing environment requirements are relatively high, especially vibration will directly affect the test results. This paper carried out a detailed analysis of vibration from the environmental factors, the mechanical device and the interferometer internal optical path, and use image processing technology for the sub-aperture position calibration.
