This paper studies the methods of remote sensing for the point of impact, on the basis of wireless transmission about the passively sound-positioning vertical target. Moreover, the research in this paper establishes the system for the point of impact testing in order to esdablish the foundation of the system project.The mathematical positioning-model of the system can be deduced based on the characteristics that the supersonic projectiles in motion could produce shock wave in the air. The simulations and calculations of the vertical target's envelope curve are made by means of MATLAB, according to the principle of least square. In the end, the eight-point triangle matrix with double right angle is taken as the key positioning component. Compared with the former array, the new one owns less volume and relatively higher positioning accuracy at the fringe of the big target screen.According to the technical specifications of the remote sensing system, the total structure design of the test system in this paper is put forward. Meanwhile, the hardware and software design of the system are acquired. The signal pre-processing circuit,the wave-adjusted circuit, the delay-calculation circuit based on CPLD and the control and data-processing circuit based on MCU are introduced in this paper.The software design is put forward. The settlement of data format, the acquaintance and save of the delay in each channel are obtained by CPLD when the shock wave arrives.Then the data of the delay could match the following circuits.MCU consists of two parts:the main one and the slave one.The main one is responsible for the data communication with CPLD and the data transmission of the wireless modules, while the slave one is in charge of the wireless module's data reception and the serial communication with upper computer.The upper computer receives the data presented by the serial port by the hybrid programming of LabVIEW and MATLAB.The experiments of ball firing are made to evaluate the system's property.As the experiments prove, eight-point triangle matrix with double right angle's positioning accuracy can meet the demands of the test systems. And the automatic detection system of the point of impact is feasible.
