In industry, liquid level measurement is widely used in petrochemical, industrial control, iron and steel, hydropower and other fields. With the deepening degree of industrialization, accuracy requirements of the level measurement has been more and more stringent. In order to design a level meter with large range of measurement, we try to design an ultrasonic liquid level. This paper aims to develop a ratio of the wide range of ultrasonic level meter, which is required specifically developed ultrasonic level meter with a small blind and a large number of process characteristics. In order to meet the real-time industrial applications for real-time control, measure requirements need developing a kind of ultrasonic level meter with fast response time. In the comparison of advantages and disadvantages of various options,we choose to develop this system based on DSP processors. In order to achieve this large range of ultrasonic level measurement, measurement module uses a high-frequency excitation pulse transformer, and the ultrasonic transducer excitation voltage is increased to sufficient amplitude. In order to achieve the small blind ultrasonic level measurement, we try to model the ultrasonic transducer as the electric excitation circuit, and propose a new method of reducing the ultrasonic blind. In order to achieve the real-time requirements, we try to reduce the amount of processing operations by improving the digital filters and cross-correlation algorithm. Finally, we test the theory of the ultrasonic level measurement, and discuss the improvement of future directions for the general requirements.
