Distribution feeder monitoring device is the mainly intelligence device which is used to monitor, control and protect the distribution system; its intelligence directly affect the stability and intelligence of the distribution network.Firstly, the significance of distribution automation and its components is introuduced; then the advantages and disadvantages of several traditional power supply ways are analyzed. This paper put forward the solar energy for the power of the monitoring device.Then the small current device application at home and abroad is introduced. Combining with the trend of the development of distribution automation, the scheme that the small current grounded fault line selection scattered to the feeder monitoring device is proposed. When one-phase grounded fault occurred, the fault characteristics of the 10 kV power distribution lines and several effective steady state and transient fault criterion especially the wavelet analysis method is detailed analysised. Tested and verified by using MATLAB/simulink simulation, the information fusion algorithm based on fuzzy transformation and the fault location technology based on line-selection results is proposed.The device hardware designed with double CPU structure by the combination of DSP and MCU. The structure give full play to the incident management ability of MCU and the data processing ability of DSP.The selection of the DSP is TMS320LF2407A of TI. In order to guarantee the collection and calculation of a large data, three high precision data acquisition ADS8364 expanded in its periphery. The MCU is S3C44BOX which is developed by Samsung. It is a 32 bit ARM kernel microcontroller, expanded the some management such as human-computer interaction interface and switch quantity interface and so on.In order to improve the reliablility of the software system and convenient to maintenance and upgrade the user program, this paper bringμClinux embedded real-time operating system into the monitoring device. Then the user application programs were wrote, included data real-time collection procedures, fault location, current protection program, communication program and so on.Finally, this paper did a series of experiments to prove the variety functions of the device include acquisition, anti-jamming degrees and so on. The experiments results show that this device fully meet the requirement of power distribution automation system and fault line selection technology.
