Gauges are necessary space to ensure vehicle safety, complicated and tedious to calculate. This paper studies the development of domestic gauges, made a comparative analysis of different methods, and chooses the method provided by metro gauge standard to calculate domestic metro vehicle type A, B1and B2. While much influential factors are considered in standard of metro gauges, the paper classifies those influence factors and introduces the concept of reliability for random ones. Then re-calculate vehicle gauges at designated reliability of those random factors.This paper also studies the vehicle gauge of EMU by using SIMPACK to build a model of a motor car, studies the profile points'derivations in straight line and curve passing condition at various speeds, then using the envelope method to obtain its dynamic profile, comparing it with the vehicle gauges and construction gauge.Finally, based on MFC technique and methods provided by standard of metro gauges, this paper develops a software with strong interactivity and practical use to calculate vehicle gauge. The software reconsider those influencing factors according to the concept of reliability to calculate type A, B1and B2's vehicle gauges in subway and on elevated lines, and provide ability to calculate new designed type of metro vehicle; the software also provided a module to calculate EMU's gauges; the system can save the result and display the results of real-time calculation.
