Sealing rings are widely used in the mechanical field, they appear in nearly every single machine. The turbocharger's sealing ring we studied in this thesis is one of the most important parts in the turbocharger. It exists in the charger's part and the compressor's part. The function of the turbocharger's sealing ring is to prevent the gas and the oil from leaking. The quality of the turbocharger's sealing ring can directly affect the turbocharger's service life.The sealing ring we studied in this thesis is produced under the condition of normal pressure and temperature, but it works in the condition of high pressure and temperature, so the technical requriements are also based on the condition of high pressure and temperature. How to assure the quality of the sealing ring is quite a difficult problem. At present, the domestic processing technique of the sealing ring is out of date, the rates of the finished product is generally not high. Take an example of a certain factory, the rates of the qualified products is only about80%, the defective ones are thrown away or to be repaired by the workers.The thesis analyzed the side direction clearance and the gap clearance of the sealing ring under the working condition, then discussed the factors that influence the two clearances, and then improved the existing processing technique in order to enhance the rates of the finished products.In order to check whether the sealing rings are qualified or not, we have to find a solution to quickly separate the sealing rings into the qualified,to be repaired and disqualified. We designed a plan to automatically detect the minimum gap clearance of the sealing rings under the nature state.Though more sealing rings are qualified, in order to make the rates of the disqualified lower, this thesis came up with a general plan of a specified machine tool to repair the sealing ring's gap to take place of the manual repair.There are3innovative points in this thesis:(1) Improved the existing processing technique of the turbocharger's sealing ring. (2) Designed a plan to dectect the minimum gap clearance of the sealing rings, automatically separate the sealing rings into the qualified, to be repaired and disqualified.(3) Designed a general plan of a specified machine tool to repair the sealing ring's gap to take place of the manual repair.The content of this thesis is helpful for the domestic produce of the turbocharger's sealing rings.
