The Evaluation Of The Elder's Outdoor Activity Places In Residential Area In Fuzhou

It is an indisputable fact that China has entered the aging society. Based on thesituation that large parts of the elderly people take home stay as the main life style in Chinain nowadays, to study how the elder's outdoor activity places in residential area to adoptthe need which is produced by the great change of physiological, psychological and socialcharacteristics after their retirement, maintenance and enhance the remained ability of theelderly constitutes our most urgent problem. So far on-going studies on the elder'soutdoor activity places in residential area has achieved certain results, and mostly wasbased on theoretical considerations about the elderly needs of physiological andpsychological, seldom mentioned or even gave further research on the evaluation of currentsituation and how to measure and determine the degree of the elder's outdoor activityplaces in residential area,In view of the current situation that few research about evaluation of the elder'soutdoor activity places in residential area is based on the actual demand through empiricalinvestigation of the elder's outdoor activities, the overall objective of this study is: basedon the observation survey, grasp of the elder's physiological characteristics,psychological characteristics, behavioral characteristics, as well as the needs of outdooractivities area, build evaluation index system of the elder's outdoor activity places inresidential area from the perspective of the elderly and through the research of theoreticaland empirical, then use this evaluation index system to measure the level of the elder'soutdoor activity places in residential area to discover the defects, and propose the issues ofimprovement measures.To achieve the research objectives,the study involves the following four aspects:(1)Analyze the causes and influencing factors that why the elder enjoy outdoor activitiesthrough the method of literature study and case survey, to be the basic theory of buildingevaluation index system of the elder's outdoor activity places in residential area, and thispart includes the second and third chapters.(2) On the basis of previous research, expertinterviews and pre-survey, use5-point Likert scale method to design the questionnaires tocollect evaluation data of the elder's outdoor activity places in residential area, andfiltered evaluation indicator, design the evaluation indicator of the elder's outdoor activityplaces in residential area; then use the collected data to descriptive analysis the situation ofevaluation indicator. The main content includes the chapters4and5.(3) On the basis of the large number of elderly survey data collection, used entropyweight, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to complete the construction of index system ofthe elder's outdoor activity places in residential area, and evaluated the elder's outdooractivity area in residential area in Fuzhou. The main content includes the Chapter6.(4)Propose policy recommendations according to the study conclusions, the main contentsinclude Chapter7.The main conclusions of the research:(1) The old people have a strong expectation for outdoor activity places in residentialarea which is provided limited by the residential area, and it also has a large gap betweenthe needs of the older people and the current situation, it must make evaluation of the levelof the elder's outdoor activity places in residential area, so that the relevant sectors can get attention and enhance the construction of the elder's outdoor activity places inresidential area.(2) Preliminary planning and post-management of the elder's outdoor activity placesin residential area also need to be drawn attention. The main reason of lack of the elder'soutdoor activity places in residential area is less awareness of the elder's outdoor activityplaces construction in the mind of estate agents in preliminary planning, so it is necessaryto strengthen the preliminary planning of the elder's outdoor activity places in residentialarea immediately. In the situation of most of the elderly live in residential area withoutplenty of outdoor activity area, it also should be focused on the latter management,andmake energetic efforts to obtain the support from property and all sectors, and transformthe residential area according to local conditions according to the needs of the elderly andactual conditions, and provide the elder's outdoor activity places as much as possible.(3) The elder's outdoor activity places in residential area is a multi-dimensionalconcept, which should be designed to reflect the index system of the elder's outdooractivity places in residential area. This article draws on early research results, combineswith expert interviews and pre-survey, as well as the elder's questionnaire, design theevaluation index system of the elder's outdoor activity places in residential area whichincludes7evaluation of dynamic activity areas,9evaluation of the static activity areas,5evaluation of the communicating areas,9evaluation of the walk areas,5evaluation of thefamily areas,7evaluation of plant landscape,6evaluation of water landscape,10evaluation of ancillary facility.(4) The elder has a low satisfaction to the elder's outdoor activity places in residentialarea in Fuzhou. According to the survey data, using the entropy weight and fuzzycomprehensive evaluation as well as indicators constructed in this study system, calculatethe fuzzy comprehensive evaluation value of the elder's outdoor activity places inresidential area is only0.4353, indicating that the elderly has a lower satisfaction level ofthe elder's outdoor activity places in residential area in Fuzhou. In addition, through adescriptive analysis it can be found out that the elderly pay most attention and feel leastsatisfied on the venue area and the number of fitness facilities in dynamic activity areas, aswell as privacy and comfortable in static activity areas.Based on the conclusions above, contact the elderly living reality, this study proposesthat preliminary planning is as important to post-improvement, area can be shared betweendifferent groups of old, young and adults which can be considered when distribute theelder's dynamic activity areas,distribution of the elder's static activity areas shouldemphasis on private and comfort, plant planning should meet the demand of the physicalfitness of the elder, distribution of the elder's activity areas should be ensured securityand comprehensive.As the constraints of funding, time, own level and the limited of study scope, survey,the number of people, scientific of index system design has not been authenticated yet, sodeviation also existed in the evaluation of the level of the elder's outdoor activity placesin residential area in Fuzhou, and all these need to be improved in the future.
