Unmanned Test Vehicle Equipment System Design

To make a generally survey of our country,we can conclude that coal is ourmain energy consumpation. However, the unproprition amount of coal reserveand demand determines the coal transport from west area to east area,which ismainly completed by train. In order to carry more coals, more heavy freighttrains are running, which endanger the safety of railway, especially the DaqinRailroad and the Shuohuang Railroad, which is mainly in mountain area.End-of-train Safety equipment becomes the most significant devices for thesafety of locomotive after caboose and running conductor have been canceled,therefore it is widely used in our country.However for some reasons,its failurerate is very high.So, it is need to test the equipment periodly.To ourfrustrating,the overwhelming test equipments in our country is done by manualwork,which takes lots of time and requies proficiency in technology.Consequently, it is necessory to design a antomatic test equipment.The End-of-train Safety equipment includes two parts:the main engine oftrain tail and the mobile unit. This paper mainly illustrate the antomation test ofthe mobile unit.which includes the ATIS, and the communication test.The ATISis to obtain the number of locomotive and the mobile unit,which used to ensurethe test for only one mobile unit.then both filed and remote communication testwould contiunue.After that,we could make a conclusion by compution about theperformance of the mobile unit. If something unpleasant happed, the workersthere would easily get access to the possible failure by wireless alarm.Also, alltest results are displayed by the computer of duty room.Therefore, it couldcomplete all tests without a person watching.The antomatic test systems for End-of-train Safety equipment are used in alocal Railroad, with the excellent performance,the antomatic test systems forEnd-of-train Safety equipment would be used wider.
