A series of experiments were carried out aiming at full use of pig manure, Residue from fermenting without oxygen for three months and rice straw were chosen as materials in composting experiment to study the changes of the general nature, main nutrients, bio-chemical characteristics, NH3 emissions, decomposition status of compost. The results are as follows:(1) Temperature influences compost quality directly. The temperature up to the maximum after 5 days, the temperature of middle level was 69.51℃, bottom level was 63.32℃,upper level was 67.57℃.The compost temperature was kept within 55-60℃over 13 days, match the standard of compost. The temperature of the pot was kept slightly higher than indoor temperature.(2) The ideal compost body moisture content was between 50-60%, the absolute content of moisture dropped, from 70.9% at the beginning to 40% in the end.(3) The ideal compost PH value was neuter or slight alkaline, the compost PH value increased in the first three days, and then decreased, and then tended to increase, and then became stable after 25 days.(4) The compost EC value showed up and down trend in previous 40 days, and then became stable after 43 days. EC value was suitable in the course.(5) During the previous 4 days the quantity of ammonia volatilization has scale-up, the maximum hits a 0.0123mol. namely 0.2091g, take up 0.0014% of the raw material lot.(6) The ideal compost organic guilder content was between 20-80%. In the course of composting, the organic guilder content showed downward trend, because the microbe was actively.(7) During the composting, cellulose content showed downward trend, and lignose showed upward trend.(8) Total nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, plumbum, cadmium relatively content showed slightly upward trend, because the volume of material became smaller. And all of the content was suitable.
