Eshed and Zamir(1994) have constructed the first whole population of introgressed lines in Solanum lycopersicum.This introgression lines have the segment of S.pennellii (LA716) in S. lycopersicum (M82)background, and these lines provide complete coverage of the wild species genome of S.pennellii. Therefore every phenotypic difference between the introgression lines can be associated with the unique introgressed segment, and it is a useful experimental material for further research. But there is a significant disadvantage of IL population is that the genetic distance of the single independent 'insert' per line was too large, most of them were greater than IOcM. There must have been QTLs linkage drag in such a long distance, it must be taken more time and wast more when using the IL population for reach. Consequently it is necessary to develop sub-lines.In this study, the IL population backcrossed to M82, then the interspecific hybrid selfed for two generation. With the marker-assisted selection technology, we detected the population of IL8-1 and IL10-1 in order to get sub-lines. The main results were as followings:1. In order to construct segregating population, the IL population backcrossed to M82, then they selfed.2. According to the size of introgressed segment, we detected the segregating population of IL8-1 and 1L10-1. A part of the specific primers derived from website (http://www.sgn.cornell.edu), others were designed based on the information of RFLP from website (http://www.sgn.cornell.edu).3. Through the detection, we got two new introgression lines from the population of IL8-1, and the size of the one is smaller than 10cM.4. Detecting the population of IL10-1, we got nine new introgression lines. Two of the ILs is smaller than IOcM. The segregating population of IL 10-1 can be split into two phenotype. One has more maxillary buds and short internodes, the other is antithetical.
