The Agrostis stolonifera was herbaceous plant ehich belong to creeping bent grass in gramineae. It had widely used in golf courses, green park and some sporting place because it's leavse were softness, fineness and bright green and it has strong anti-adversity. But some fungus also damage it and the quality of turf were decreased. The traditional control method were limited and the pesticide had a negative effect on the soil. The nontoxic and environmental chemical inducer have advantage in the control of plant disease.Through the inducement of inducer could induce the defense ability of plant to defense the plant disease. This were the research focuse and had a widely application prospect. In this paper through contrast with iprodione and salicylic acid, the the inducement of butanediol to the resistance of brown spot disease of Agrostis stolonifera L. and the mechanism of inducement were researched .The main result were as follows:(1)Agrostis stolonifera plants treated with 50μmol/L-150μmol/L butanediol could be induced to show brown spot disease resistance to a certain degree.Among them, the effects of 100μmol / L butanediol were significantly better than others. the disease index decreased from 93.33% to 31.33%, the incidence rate from 100% to 43.33%,and the control effect reached 75%.The difference of effects between iprodione and butanediol was not evident. Among them, the effects of 100μmol / L butanediol were significantly better than others. the disease index decreased from 93.33% to 31.33%, the incidence rate from 100% to 43.33%,and the control effect reached 75%.The difference of effects between iprodione and butanediol was not evident.(2)Agrostis stolonifera plants treated with 100μmol / L butanediol,0.1mmol / L SA or 100 mg / kg iprodione all showed induced resistance, but the induction effects plants treated with SA showed were not significant.(3)The chlorophyll content, soluble protein,MDA and soluble sugar content in leaves of Butanediol-treated plants were improved.Chlorophyll content was 1.5 times higher than the contrast;soluble protein content was 58% higher, and MDA,soluble sugar content was respectively 30%,71% higher than the contrast.(4)In contrast, chlorophyll content in plants treated with pesticides iprodione were higher than those treated with butanediol, meanwhile soluble protein and soluble sugar content of butanediol treated plants was higher than iprodione and salicylic acid treated ones. However, the butanediol treated plants had more MDA than other treatment.(5)After inducement by the inducer the activitives of the pathogenesis-related enzymes (POD, PAL and PPO) were tested .The result showed that the activities of POD, PAL and PPO were increased after treatment and the value were 1.8, 0.9 and 4.3 folds. The inducement of butanediol was better than iprodione and salicylic acid. The higher of the activities of enzyme, the better of the inducement, ant the activies of POD, PAL and PPO were positively correlated with the inducement of resistance.
