Preliminary Study On The Growth Of Lycoris Species Cultivated Under The Planted Forest

Lycoris Herb is a kind of well-known bulb flowers in the world, which not only hasimportant economic value, but also great ornamental value. This paper studied the scapegrowth of Lycoris chinensis Traub and Lycoris longituba in the three experimental plotsaround the campus of Nanjing Forestry University. In the investigation of Lycoris radiata infour different sites of Jiangsu Province, we can observed those bulb growth and set up thegrowth model under the forest. The studies will be make a reference for the introduction andcultivation of Lycoris Species for the future.The following is the research result:1. The scape of both L.chinensis Traub and L.longituba grows rapidly in the earlyflowering and grows slowly after flowering, which conforms to "S" shape of the line ofgrowth.The height of scape planted at NJFU school campus is higher than it at theexperimental field of Lycoris and the later is significantly higher than it cultured at the Botanylab.Compared with other paragraphs of the scape, the height of the paragraph III of thescape changes extremely significantly.The scape of the III-IV paragraph of the Lycoris growsfastest in the third day.2. The the growth of L.radiata is affected by many factors.The investigation data showsthat the growth of L.radiata is different in ecological zones. Donghai is the most suitable forthe growth of the one year's bulbs of L.radiate and Siyang is the best place for the growth ofthe leave.3. In the three sample plots, Sihong is the most suitable for the growth of the three year'sbulbs of L.radiate, Zhenjiang is the best place for both the length growth and the numbers ofleave, and Donghai the widest of leaves growth.4. Data mining shows that a lot of the investigation data is associated in the middle orsmall size of the bulbs.Traditional planting of Lycoris is planted directly in the open air, this paper studied thegrowth of Lycoris species cultivated under the planted forest.The results showed that Lycorisspeciescould grow so well in extensive management,and they could be promoted largely inecological forest.
