At present, the studies of cabbage harvesting machinery are still in the blank in china. with the practical needs. In order to realize the mechanization of the cabbage and to reduce labor intensity, this paper had a overall design from the actual by the cabbage cultivation in our country and cultivation technique. And then made the designing calculation on the main working parts as collector,disk cutter,press guiding mechanism and lifting gear, and defined the main technical parameters. It is consist of collecting mechanism, lifting gear, disk cutter, press guiding mechanism, conveyor. The cabbage is collected by collecting mechanism to harvester, and it's root is clamped by parallel shaft and is transported with the press guiding mechanism to back. When cabbage is transported to back, the cabbage's root is cut by the first disk cutter, then is transported to back and be cut by the second disk cutter. Lastly, The cabbage is transported by conveyor to boxes. This cabbage harvester can realize the whole cabbage's collecting , drawing, cutting root and transportation. The harvester required power is 10.692 kW and it's speed is 0.207m/s. The productivity is one/2s, and the overall weight is 967kg. The width 0.54m and minimum ground clearance is 0.03m. The distance is 0.81m between two wheels and the overall structure size of 2600×1000×515mm. This paper mainly made more in-depth in the following aspects:(1)According to survey the cabbage planting and cultivation patterns both at home and abroad, Development of the whole structure of cabbage harvester programs.(2)By analysis the type,function and performance of the disc cutter, designed a new serrated disc cutter, Its diameter is 260mm,rotational speed is 225r/min.(3)Be aimed at the cabbage's upward transport during the harvesting ,Designed a collection mechanism and parallel screw axis which rotating in the opposite and the horizontal mounting angle is 10°,the center distance of the two parallel screw conveyor is 105mm,the pitch is 35mm,the length is 1500mm.(4) In this paper, the top pressure guide belt was designed ,the tilt angle is taken asβ=10°,the speed V=0.203m/s.the diameter of the drive pulley D1=200mm,.the diameter of the driven roller D2=130mm.To prevent the belt's sliding and falling, designed the small boss on the belt wheel edge and it's width B=330mm.(5) Combined with the speed of tractor PTO and the 4YB-I cabbage harvester design requirements, determined the power transmission scheme, and carried the theoretical calculation and design to its key components in detail.(6) Use the Pro / E software to build a three-dimensional solid model of prototype, Made the static performance analysis of the top pressure guide belt by the ANSYS software, Use the ADAMS software and conducted the simulation on the lifting mechanism.
