Hickorv(Garva cathavcnsis Sarg.) is one of the world famous nuts, it's farmers' main economic income in major production area. With the economic benefits improved. in pursuit of maximum benefit and the convenience of picking, they're use chemical fertilizers. pesticides. herbicide blindly and remove all shrubs and weeds away. Which lead to be pure forests and ecological environment is deteriorating.Such as. soil erosion. stony desertification, plant diseases and insect pests. These have seriously restricted the pecan industry in sustainable development so ecological management is urgent. This study investigated the operating conditions of the strength of the evolution of hickory forest soil, soil erosion risk assessment and farmers'willingness on the choice of hickory ecological management model. The results are as follows:(1) With the broad-leaved forest transformed into pure hickory forest 8 years, soil organic matter, hydrolysable nitrogen. pHospHorus have declined respectively 38.74%. 44.42%and 8.45%. The available K increased 29.17%. After 2 years of intensive management. soil pH value, organic matter. nitrogen hydrolysis decreased. soil available P and K increased.(2) By means of RS and GIS technologies, based on the study area's TM image data, precipitation, topograpHy and soil data in 2007,we using GIS and RUSLE model to analysis of temporal and spatial distribution dynamic characteristics of soil erosion. We also had a correlation analysis on factors that may affect soil erosion. The results showed bare soil extent, vegetation cover and slope are more important three factors on soil erosion risk. Soil fraction with leaf-off season positively affects soil erosion risk. Conversely, vegetation fraction with leaf-on season negatively affects soil erosion risk; The majority of coniferous forest area has very low erosion risk, majority of hickory plantation has low risk, and some young hickory plantation and grass (or bare soils) have high or very high risk.(3) Though 121 households questionnaires and 9 groups of participatory interview, we analysis the famers'willingness of management way of hickory and used Logistic Model analysis the main factors that affect the management way chosen. The results show that:Two variables such as age and education have significant effect on the willingness of changing management way of hickory at 5%and 1% level respectively. And age, gender and geograpHic variable have significant effect at on the willingness of adopting ecological management way of hickory at 5%level.
