This article includes two tests, which the effect of increasing energy density on the back-up sows and lactating sows. The Observation of Back-up sows are heat rate and blood biochemical indicators, and weaning weight, survival rate, yield and diarrhea rate indicators for breast-feeding sow.Test 1:Randomly selected the same varieties (Landrace) siblings or half-siblings 20 back-up sows 7-8 months of age, weight 123.6kg or so, divided into two groups each of 10, repeat 3 times. The test group's diet was added 5% of high-fat and high-protein concentration of raw materials on the basis of group diet, test period from February 2008 to May 2008 for a period of 120 days. The results showed that:1. Compared with the control group, the amount of nitrogen in blood urea of the test group reduced 39.50%(P<0.01),the blood glucose levels of test group 2 increased 1.62% (P<0.01), and the amount of nitrogen in blood urea reduced 41.98%(P<0.01). In addition, the blood glucose concentrations of testing group 2 is 29.47% higher than the testing group1(P<0.01), while others showed no significance in serum.2. As can be seen from Table 2, the rate of estrus of the back-up sows increases with the energy level, but the difference is not significant (P> 0.05), which in the high-energy level group increased 7.5% than in the low energy level group.Test 2:Random select the same varieties (Landrace) In the same breeding sows 20 of pregnancy, weight 150kg or so, divided into two groups each of 10, repeat 3 times. The test group's diet was added 5% of high-fat and high-protein concentration of raw materials on the basis of group diet, test period from March 2008 to May 2008 for a period of 70 days. The results showed that:Compared with the control group, the piglets birth weight, piglets daily gain and weaning piglet litter weight were increased by 9.72%(P<0.05),15.29%(P<0.05) and 18.57%(P<0.05) of the test group, and the differences of other indexes are not significant.
