Influence Of Different Plant Growth Regulators On Vase Life And Physiological Action Of Cut Chrysanthemum

Cut chrysanthemum(Dendranthema×grandiflorum'Xiahuang')was used in different solutions, which added different concentrations plant growth regulators of SA,PP333,GA3,6-BA and KT into basic preservative(20 g·L-1S+200 mg·L-18-HQ+200 mg·L-1CA). On the bases of floral appearance survey, effects of SA,PP333,GA3,6-BA,KT on vase life and physiological action of cut chrysanthemum were investigated by means of measuring fresh change rate,water balance,the content of MDA,free proline,soluble protein,chlorophyll,the activities of SOD and CAT,The main results were shown as follows:1. Different concentrations of salicylic acid all can significantly extend the vase life of cut chrysanthemum, improve its ornamental quality. The treatment with 55mg ? L - 1 had the best effect (20 g?L - 1sucrose+200mg?L -18-Hydroxyquinoline+200mg?L-1 citric acid+55 mg?L - 1SA): the corolla diameter of cut chrysanthemum went up gradually and reached the maximum about the10th day, and the corolla diameter increases 5.234 cm comparing with initial diameter(4.532 cm), fresh mass of flower stem to reach up to 32.11%, delayed water stress, delayed senescence,the vase life can be prolonged 14.5 d than the contrast(water); During the same period, comparing with the contrast(water), the content of MDA in the ray floret was reduced by 2.190~5.662μmol·g-1 , the free proline accumulation in the ray floret was reduced by4.333~17.716μg·g-1, and the content of soluble protein in the ray floret was improve 1.10 times than CK , the chlorophyll in the leaf was improve 57.5 % than CK , and it can also increased the activity of SOD and CAT in the ray florets.2. PP333 can significantly extend the vase life of cut chrysanthemum, but the effect was not significantly in increasing the corolla diameter, achieving the certain concentration (300 mg ? L - 1) PP333 will significantly inhibit cut chrysanthemum diameter and emergence of leaves, The best concentration was150mg ? L- 1. The results indicated that the preservative containing PP333 can increased the fresh mass, delayed water stress, retarded the soluble protein in the ray florets and chlorophyll in the leaves degradation, decreased MDA and free proline accumulation in the ray florets, improved the activity of SOD and CAT in the ray florets. The treatment with SA (20g?L-1sucrose+200mg? L - 1 8-Hydroxyquinoline +200mg? L - 1citric acid+ 150mg ? L - 1 PP333 + 55 mg?L - 1SA) is the best in freshness preservation, the corolla diameter increases significantly, corolla diameter of cut chrysanthemum went up gradually and reached the maximum about the10th day, and corolla diameter increases 6.226 cm comparing with initial diameter, fresh mass of flower stem to reach up to 30.71%, and the vase life can be prolonged 15.2d than the contrast(water).3. Different categories and different concentrations of plant growth regulators had different effects on vase life and omamental quality of cut chrysanthemum : GA3 on increasing max corolla diameter had the best effect, but the corolla opens faster, the corolla diameter went up gradually and reached the maximum about the8th day, about 13d began enlarged water stress; 6-BA can increase max corolla diameter of cut chrysanthemum, the ray florets can be increased the fresh mass , can significantly extend the vase life and improve quality, the overall appreciation was good, but achieving the certain concentration (2 mg ? L - 1) 6 - BA will significantly inhibit cut chrysanthemum; Different concentrations of KT on increasing max corolla diameter of cut chrysanthemum were not significantly , were not significant for vase life of cut chrysanthemum.The results indicated that treatments with 0.5mg·L-16-BA,80mg·L-1GA3 on increasing max corolla diameter of cut chrysanthemum had significant effect, comparing with initial diameter, which increases corolla diameter respectively 5.059 cm and 6.252 cm, increased the fresh mass, fresh mass of flower stem to reach up to 34.10 % and 36.38 % , delayed water stress, the vase life can be prolonged ; During the same period, comparing with the contrast(water), the preservative containing 0.5mg·L-16-BA can decreased MDA and free proline accumulation in the ray florets, retarded the soluble protein in the ray florets and chlorophyll in the leaves degradation, the content of MDA in the ray floret was reduced by 2.409~5.267μmol·g-1, the free proline accumulation in the ray floret was reduced by4.216~19.798μg·g-1, and the content of soluble protein in the ray floret was improve 1.36 times than CK, the chlorophyll in the leaf was improve73.4% than CK; the preservative containing 80mg·L-1GA3, the content of MDA in the ray floret was reduced by 2.171~5.075μmol·g-1, the free proline accumulation in the ray floret was reduced by4.033~16.565μg·g-1, and the content of soluble protein in the ray floret was improve1.17 times than CK , the chlorophyll in the leaf was improve 65.8 % than CK; The two treatment can improved the activity of SOD and CAT in the ray florets,0.5mg·L -16-BA is better than GA3. 4. According influences of different plant growth regulators on vase life of cut chrysanthemum, this study selected three preservative solutions: 20g·L-1S+200mg·L-18-HQ+200mg·L-1CA+55mg·L-1SA+150mg·L-1PP333; 20g·L-1S+200mg·L-18-HQ+200 mg·L-1CA+55mg·L-1SA; 20g·L-1S+200 mg·L-18-HQ+200mg·L-1CA+0.5mg·L-16-BA.
