Selenium is one of the essential trace elements; more than40human diseases are relevant to Low selenium. China is indeed lack of selenium, and the soil which is lack of selenium amounts to72%of land area, forming a chain short of selenium from plants to animals and even human, which has been a threat to the health of the human beings. With the improvement of living standards, all kinds of selenium-rich technology, selenium-rich product research and development are concerned by more and more people. Biological active selenium developed in recent years is a kind of brand-new organic selenium-rich plant nutrients, after the soil occurrence, it is used for plant effective absorption, and overcome traditional selenium-rich fertilizer strong toxic shortcomings, and there is much room to be desired and applied.Based on the preliminary studies, fertilizer calibration experiment of selenium-rich fertilizer on the2-4year-old young Camellia Oleifera and more than10-year-old mature C.Oleifera was conducted in order to investigate the effect of active selenium on C. Oleifera yield and soil fertility quality, in this experiment we randomly designed three blocks and each block contained six treatments, including CK0, CK1, CK2, I, II and III. Soil fertility quality evaluation was carried out to provide the basis for the scientific soil testing and fertilization of C.Oleifera.The experiment results showed that: the yields of mature and young C.Oleifera forest in the fertilization treatments were higher than that in no-fertilization treatments. The yield of II treatment of mature C.Oleifera forest was highest, up to18.38kg, and higher than CKo13.13kg. The yield of II treatment of young C.Oleifera forest was highest, up to15.14kg, and higher than CK011.80kg. There were significant yield differences between the different treatments. The content of selenium in mature and young C.Oleifera fruits that using active selenium was increased significantly, and increased with the level of selenium element. The distribution of selenium in fruits was:The content of selenium in seeds was the highest, that in peel was the second and that in seed coat was the least. The content of selenium in peel of mature C.Oleifera was between0.103mg/kg and0.520mg/kg, that in seed coat was between0.011mg/kg and0.087mg/kg, and that in seeds was between0.127mg/kg and1.042mg/kg. The content of selenium in peel of young C.Oleifera was between0.060mg/kg and0.468mg/kg, that in seed coat was between0.015mg/kg and0.054mg/kg, and that in seeds was between0.119mg/kg and0.866mg/kg.The fertility of the mature and young C.Oleifera forest has improved under the influence of active selenium. Different treatments have different degree of influence. The fertility of soil quality comprehensive evaluation results showed that the active selenium is applied to forest and young forest, and the soil fertility index has increased. The soil fertility quality comprehensive evaluation index of II treatment of mature forest is the highest, about0.895; and that of I treatment of Young forest is the highest, about0.906. Pollution elements are not more than2to standard, therefore, pollution is still in the security range. The study found that the active selenium has broad application prospects in soil improvement and improvement of soil fertility.
