As an important environmental factor, the water current can activate sense organ of fish, which can bring corresponding action mode and response mechanism. The water current has various ecological effects influencing the behavior and Physiological development of fish directly or indirectly. Bangana yunnanensis and Anabarilius grahami are both endemic species of Yunnan province, with the change of ecological environment and the impact of Overfishing, to a certain extent, their existence have been threatened. In order to provide reference for The protection of wildlife resources and their yield breeding, this study which takes Bangana yunnanensis(length:6.25±0.65cm, weight:3.89±0.53g) and Anabarilius grahami(length:12.75±1.15cm, weight:12.31±1.38g) as research object researches the swimming behavior features of these two kinds of fish and the change condition of their Oxygen consumption rate by using a special designed device at25±1℃, The conclusions of the research are as follows:1. The effects of Water current on swimming behavior of Bangana yunnanensis and Anabarilius grahamiWith the Water current increasing, the time of swimming forward countercurrent and swimming backwards countercurrent of Bangana yunnanensis increased, whereas the time of holding swimming station countercurrent decreased. And the main swimming state were changed from holding swimming station countercurrent to swimming forward countercurrent. When water current increased, the time of holding swimming station countercurrent of Anabarilius grahami increased, whereas the time of swimming forward countercurrent and swimming backwards countercurrent decreased. And the main swimming state were changed from swimming forward countercurrent to holding swimming station countercurrent.Below the water current of o.20m/s, the rheotactic frequency of juvenile Bangana yunnanensis and Anabarilius grahami increased, but when water current was up to0.25m/s,the rheotactic frequency of Bangana yunnanensis decreased.Below the water current of o.20m/s,the tail beat frequency of juvenile Bangana yunnanensis and Anabarilius grahami increased, but when water current was up to o.25m/s,the tail beat frequency of Anabarilius grahami decreased. The swimming speed in every state of juvenile Bangana yunnanensis and Anabarilius grahami increased with increasing water current.2. The effects of Water current on Oxygen consumption rate of juvenile Bangana yunnanensis and Anabarilius grahamiOxygen consumption rate of juvenile Bangana yunnanensis and Anabarilius grahami increased with increasing water current. At a same water current,in the24hours continuous observation,Oxygen consumption rate of Bangana yunnanensis increased obviously before the first3h,increasing rate become slow between3h to6h, maximum Oxygen consumption rate of Bangana yunnanensis occur in6h,after6h the variation of Oxygen consumption rate was tiny.At a same water current,in the24hours continuous observation,Oxygen consumption rate of Anabarilius grahami increased obviously before the first6h,maximum Oxygen consumption rate of Anabarilius grahami occur in6h,after6h the variation of Oxygen consumption rate was tiny. And at a same water current,Oxygen consumption rate of Bangana yunnanensis is more higher than Anabarilius grahami.
