| As a producing area for grapevine, the problem that the Eastern Region of NingxiaHelan Mountain faced with is the shortage of both labor and water resource.On the aim of providing a theoretical foundation, this research studies the effects ofRegulated Deficit Irrigation (RDI) and Simplified Canopy Pruning on the growth and qualityof grapevine as well as the relations between two experimental methods and the quality ofberries by choosing grapevine varieties, Pinot Noir, Carbernet Franc, and CarbernetSauvignon as experimental materials.The primary conclusions were as follows:(1)Under the control of the regulated deficit irrigation (RDI), sprout of secondaryshoots of grapevine were all reduced, and the growth were restrained markedly.(2)The RDI could also reduce chlorophyll content of these grapes. With the increase ofthe deficit irrigation, the content of chlorophyll decreased. Between There was no statisticallysignificant difference between different treatment and chlorophyll content decrease of PinotNoir and Carbernet Franc.(3)Regulated deficit irrigation decreased the photosynthetic rate (Pn), the transpirationrate (Tr), the intercellular CO2concentration (Ci) and the stomata conductance (Gs). However,water use efficiency improved significantly. The results show that the decreasing order asfollows: Carbernet Franc, RDI-3>RDI-1>RDI-2>CDI; Carbernet Sauvignon, RDI-3>RDI-2>RDI-1>CDI(4)Regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) and simplified canopy management reducedgrape yields and minished berries; moreover, there was no significant difference betweenthese two experimental treatments.(5)Regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) and Simplified Canopy management increasedthe content of soluble solid and reducing sugar and decreased the total acid content.(6)Regulated Deficit Irrigation affected phenols content. The phenols contentincreased first and then decreased. Under the control of RDI, the order of phenols content ofPinot Noir isRDI-2>RDI-1>RDI-3>CDI,and the order of Carbernet Sauvignon is RDI-1>RDI-2>CDI> RDI-3.The results shows that slight control of RDI can help to improvephenols content of the berries.(7)Simplified canopy management shortened the panel length, thicken the branchesand reduced the diameter of the ratio of the hip. This experimental management promotes themature of the grape shoots, enhance the resistance of grape.(8)Simplified canopy management reduced the extinction coefficient(K) and leaf area index(LAI),but increased the leaf angle.(9)Simplified canopy management makes the work more efficiency than regularcanopy management; it saved about40%time during the whole summer's canopymanagement work.(10)Take all factors into consideration, the irrigation amount of Eastern Region ofNingxia Helan Mountain should be controlled between18.2L/individual plant and20.8L/individual plant. Simplified canopy management fits most in the summer. |
