Research Of Photo Thermo Sensitive Genic Male Sterile Rice Line's Purification And Reproduction Technology

In order to testify the feasibility, effect and quality of the technology of purification breeding on light and temperate. Experiments have been carried out from May,2010to April2012in both ChangSha ChunHua town and HanNan Sanya rice bases. Annong810s, P88s and C815s had been applied to adopt this kind of new technology for continuously two years. And the major findings are as follows:(1) Different from the traditional way, purification and breeding in this method proceed synchronously in two groups which have the same genetic background, based on the results then to cut hills to regenerate the seeds. In this way that greatly simplify the purification breeding processed of two-line rice sterile, shorten the time to get the core seed, therefore, core seeds can be acquired each year.(2) In this method, group A were identified, group B were bred. The qualified ones from group B were sacked per each to get the respective seed. And in this way that can better isolated from any other pollen. This is to make sure the mixture of different items of the field and to guarantee the purity and unity of the core seeds. Besides, through the constant cold irrigation treatment and pollen screening, suitable sterility plants were chosen to ensure the safety of the core seeds.(3) The cost of this experiment is low. During this processes, constant cold water processing was applied, which required an artificial refrigerate cold water pool and the corresponding equipment to control the temperate. Certain amount of cost should be required at the beginning of the investment, but after repeated use of this appliance for a few years, the cost to produce core seeds was low.(4) The number of core seeds produced in this experiments are large. With the purification breeding, there is an increasing trend toward the proportion of core seeds and each one contains at least more than280seeds.It can be concluded through this research that there has been a great effect by the application of purification breeding over the light and temperate of rice. This method is simple, effective, low cost and should be further promoted.
