BackgroundCoronary Heart Disease (CHD). The disease is caused by coronary atheros-clerosis lead to coronary calcification, narrow, even the thrombus formatted. Its pathological process is damaged endothelial appear atherosclerotic plaque, lipid deposition, resulting in luminal stenosis or even block. However the specific me-chanisms of CHD have not been comprehensively reviewed till now. In recent years many scholars agreed with coronary heart disease is a series of inflammation-a fibro-genic response process.Various causes artery lining damaged, and macrophages infi-ltration, foam cells forming, smooth muscle cell proliferation and platelet actiation gathered together. Oxidative stress in this inflammatory reaction process has played an important role. The whole process belonging to chronic inflammatory reaction.Acute-phase-protein(APP)including CRP,transferrin,ceruloplasmin,hapto-globin(Hp),they can be used to assess the inflammatory disease,to some extent they can diselose the seve- rity of the disease. C-reactive protein has extensive clinical applications, Other APP in clinical application is still very limited.Hp, one of the acute phase protein,is an acid glycoprotein, a major function of haptoglobin is to bind hemoglobin(Hb) to form a stable Hp-Hb complex and thereby prevent Hb-induced oxidative tissue damaged and renal damage.Clearance of the Hp-Hb complex can be mediated by the monocyte/macrophage scavenger receptorCD163.After clearance the Hp-Hb can be changed into iron and bilirubin. Study proves Hp has certain antioxidant function, the level of ceruloplasmin Hp can be obviously increased during these pathology situations for example:the tumour, inflammatory, trauma, infection and Acute Mycardio-infarction (AMI) et al. Haptoglobin has also been idendfied as a protein that can inhibit synthesis of prostaglandin, promote vas-cularization and adjust immunity.People disputed that Hp can be like CRP as a risk factor to predict CHD and assess the severity of coronary lesions.ObjectivesTo observe the plasma Hp levels in patients with CHD, and to analyze the rela-tionship between subgroups of CHD and the degree of stenosis.Methods186 patients visite the Dpart of Cardiology of the First Affiliated hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2010 to October 2010 were included. In accordance with the clinical manifestation, changing of the EKG and the result of Coronal Artery Angiography, CAG, patients were divided into 4 groups:38 patients with Stable Angina Pectoris (SAP) casees,60 patients with Unstable Angina Pectoris(UAP) cases, aswell as 48 patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) 48 cases and 20 patients as control groups.According to the results of CAG,these patients can be divided into 4 groups:single-vessel lesion group (66 cases), double-vessel lesion group (55 cases), three-vessel and more lesion group(66 cases), normal group(20 cases). Determining all the patients'plasma Hp levels by E1ISA, hs-CRP by Latex Immunoturbidimetry.Final to analyse the correlation between Hp and hs-CRP.Results1. In accordance with the clinical manifestation and assistant examination, the plasma level of CHD groups was higher compared with the control groups (p<0.05), and the plasma levels between CHD subgroups were significantly different (p<0.05). The plasma level of AMI groups was higher than the UAP groups, and the plasma level of SAP groups was higeher than the control groups.2. According to the degree of coronary artery disease, plasma Hp levels was significantly higher (p<0.05) compared with normal control group. But plasma Hp levels has no correlation with the increase of lesions in branches of Coronary artery, has no statistically significant.3. Correlation analysis showed that, the level of plasma Hp was positively correlated with the hs-CRP level.Conclusion1 The plasma Hp level of CHD compared with the control normal group is significantly increased, which has the positively correlated with the hs-CRP level. So it can be as a risk factor in prediction of CHD.2 The plasma Hp level of different subgroups of CHD has significantly different, so measurement of Hp in plasma may therefore contribute to cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk stratification.3 Plasma Hp has no significantly correlation with coronary lesions count, which suggest that the plasma Hp level cannot reflect the severity of CHD.
