Objective:To explore the biomechanics reasons of the loss of radius length after Colles fracture reduction through comparing the data of the effect and X-ray results by the five different conservative treatments, and to find the factor that may work on the final outcome. Analysis of treatment effete for clinical selection of appropriate treatment methods to provide a basis.Methods:A retrospective study analyzed the complete data of the effect and X-ray results in 150 patients with Colles fracture were measured by the five kind different conservative treatments in 2004,6~2010,10 in Department of Orthopedics Surgery, HaerBin Hospital and Medical University, Weifangshi. One group A:the simple splint external fixation reduction manipulation 30 cases, group B:radial reduction manipulation cast palm deviation of simple plaster external fixator 30 cases, group C:splint-plaster external fixation in A neutral position fixed 30 cases, group D:first after A fixed splinting plaster function 30 cases, E groups:first 30 cases after fixed splinting gypsum. And through the outpatient or communication follow-up year to seven years, on average, from 18 months and near future, eventually effect and image data (lose), radial length postoperative fracture healing time, fracture average between biomechanics of fracture healing influence and wrist the function recovery of different aspects of comparison and analysis of fixed treatments.Results:Extra-articular fracture:five kinds of radial length fixing methods lost more than<3.5±0.35mm; Average fracture healing time no obvious difference; Wrist function recovered to cast palm radial dorsal deviation of flexor feet of fixed most slow, first after a fixed splinting plaster function of restore optimal; With simple radial length lost little plywood group lost the most, but overall, radial length extra-articular fracture loss is not apparent, and the wrist joint function of far recently little impact. Intra-articular fractures 6.47 lost in radial length:mm, plywood and between plus or minus 0.35 combined group was higher than other groups gypsum, simple small plywood group effect; the worst Long-dated wrist function big influence.
