Objectives:To explore the expression and clinical value of human papilloma virus(HPV) in the chronic cervicitis, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and invasive carcinoma of cervix(ICC).Methods:138 cases of cervical lesions in our hospital was studied from March 2009 to June 2010, content ofcervical HPV DNA were detected by hybrid capture two generations (HCⅡ) of quantitative methods, viral load with RLU/CO was represented. Patients were divided into 5 groups according to pathological results. Results:In chronic cervicitis group, CINⅠgroup,CINⅡgroup CINⅢgroup and squamous cell carcinoma of cervix group, detection rates of high-risk types of HPV DNA were 40.48%,65.71%,86.96%,94.44%,100%. In chronic cervicitis group, CINI group and CINⅡ+CINⅢgroup, detection rates of high-risk types of HPV DNA were 40.48%,65.71%,90.24%, and the comparison had marked statistical significance among the three groups (P<0.05). In CINⅡgroup, CINⅢgroup and squamous cell carcinoma of cervix group, detection rates of high-risk types of HPV DNA have no significant differences.Among 45 patients withASC-US,36were positive with high-risk HPV. The rate of high grade cervical lesions in high-risk HPVpositive group and negative group were 41.67% and 0%. There was significant difference between them(P<0.05). Based on the critetia of histology and pathology, the sensitivity and the negative-predictive valueof HPV subtypes testing for detecting high grade cervical lesions in ASC-US were 100% and 100%.Conclusions:HR-HPV is an important pathogenic factor of high grade CIN and cervical cancer The severity of cervical lesions is positively related with detection rate of HPV DNA, detection rate of HPV DNA is higher, and degrees of cervical lesions may be more serious. HPV -DNA testing is one of cervical cancer screening method. HR-HPV testing results of cervical cytology for ASCUS patients effective for further tap management.
