[Objective] To investigate the state and correlation of depression, coping styles and living quality in post-stroke patients.[Methods] Using descriptive correlational design, and convenient sampling method,101 post-stroke patients were sampled from a Jilin hospital. Depression levels, coping styles and living quality of post-stroke patients were evaluated by questionnaire, self-reported depression scale (SDS), medical coping styles questionnaire (MCMQ), and the world health organization life quality determination Jane type scale. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, t-test, variance analysis, Kruskal-Wallis H inspection, multiple stepwise regression analysis, and Pearson correlation analysis using SPSS software.[Result]1. Properbility of depression expressed in the post-stroke patients:91.1%post-stroke pantients expressed depression, including 51.5% of minor depression,30.7% moderate depression, and 8.9%of severe depression. The total crude score of post-stroke patients (SDS 42.61±5.78) was significant higher than which of domestic healthy crowd norm (933.46±8.55;P<0.01).2. Multiple stepwise regression analysis indicated that education and neurological defect were correlated with the stroke-induced depression.3. Score of each deal with style in post-stroke patients:The score of faced coping styles was 17.38±4.65, which was significant lower than the score of norms of other patients (19.48±4.81), P< 0.001; The score of avoided coping stylesis 15.69±3.12, which was significant lower than the score of norms of other patients (14.44±2.97), P < 0.001. However, the score of yielded coping styles was similar to norms of other patients.4. Total score of living quality in post-stroke patients:Total score of living quality was 104.42±24.31 (full marks is 180), with a coefficient of 0.58 (cumulative score/180). Multiple stepwise regression analysis indicated that the total crude points SDS and neurological defect degree were correlated with the living quality.5. Correlation analysis of depression, coping styles and living qualityin post-stroke patients showed: 1) Yielded coping styles positively correlated with depression (r=0.493, P<0.01).2) Depression negatively correlated with the score of living quality and various dimensions (r=0.341±0.725, P<0.01).3) Faced coping styles positively correlated with social function dimensionthe of living quality (r=0.309, P<0.01).4) Avoided coping styles negatively correlated with living quality symptoms and dimensions of side effects (r=-0.295±-0.537, P<0.05)5) Yielded coping styles negatively correlated with the score of living quality and variant dimensions (r=.-0.295--0.537,P<0.05).[Conclusion]1) Post-stroke patients easily express depression.2) High risk of depression ocures in the patients with lower level of education and neural function defect.3) Compare with the norms of patients, post-stroke patients using faced coping styles less, but using avoided coping styles more.4) Post-stroke patients require to improve their living quality.5) Post-stroke patients adopt yielded coping styles more, express depression level higher. Decrease in living quality of post-stroke patients may increase the level of depression. Using the faced coping style more, the social function of living quality is better.
