Objective:To investigate the change and relative metabolic indices of serum osteopro-tegerin, bone mineral density and its relationship between macroangiopathy and micro-angiopathy, to discuss the osteoporosis and osteoprotegerin on the relationship between T2DM, for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)in Yanbian to provide theory basis for prevention of diabetes osteoporosis and chronic complications such as macroangiopathy and microangiopathy.Research object and methods:in November 2009 to November 2010, Randomly cho-se 60 cases (including male 39 case, female 29 case)T2DM patients and 30 case (inclu-ding male 15 case, female 15 case)who check up healthy as normal control group in my department in Yanbian area record massage such as:Name, gender, nationality, age, height, body weight,body mass index, Duration of menopause, and so on. then determi-ned fasting blood glucose, determined fasting blood glu cose (FBG), postprandial blood glucose (PBG), glycosylated, hemoglobin(HbA1C), harnzucker, trigly ceride(TG), total cholesterol (CHO), high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), and low density lipo-protein choles terol(LDL-C),blood Ca, et al. Enzyme immu nosorbent assay (ELISA) detection fasting serum osteoprotegerin, checks carotid and bone mineral density(BMD) of right ankle by American Achilles ultrasound Os teoReport.Results:(1)The serum osteoprotegerin level(141.36±18.66)ng/L of patients with type 2 diabetes was significantly higher than normal group(116.90±15.76)ng/L. (2)The rate of osteoporosis in patients with type 2 diabetes was significantly higher than normal control group. (3)The serum osteoprotegerin level of macroangiopathy(162.32±5.24) ng/L with type 2 diabetes higher than no macroangiopathy(134.98±16.45) ng/L. The serum osteoprotegerin level of microangiopathy(162.41±5.21) ng/L with type 2 diabetes higher than no microangiopathy(132.34±14.57) ng/L. (4)Statistical analysis showed that The serum osteoprotegerin le-vel was positive correlation with FBG,PBG,HbA1C,TG and age. And no correlation with gender,BMI,CHO,HDL,LDL. The bone mineral density was negative correlation with FBG,age,HbA1C. No correlation with gender,BMI, PBG. (5) The serum osteoprotegerin level of osteoporosis(160.11±5.84) ng/L with type 2 diabetes higher than no osteoporosis(127.97±11.71) ng/L.Conclusions:(1)The serum osteoprotegerin level of patients with type 2 diabetes was significant higher than normal group. (2)The osteoprotegerin level was positive correlation with FBG,PBG,HbA1C,TG and age. (3)osteoprotegerin probably participate with type 2 diabetes patients form macroangiopathy and microangiopathy. (4)Bone mineral density level of patients with type 2 diabetes was lower than normal group. (5)The bone mineral density was negative correlation with FBG,age,HbA1C. (6) The serum osteoprotegerin level of osteoporosis with type 2 diabetes was significant higher than no osteoporosis.
