Objective: Macroangiopathy is one of the major complication s of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Its basic pathologic physiology phenomenon is atherosclerosis. The pathophysiological mechanism of atherosclerosis has not been explained exactly, but inflammatory response whose center is NF-κB family serve as an important function to take place to development in atherosclerosis. Rosiglitazone belongs to thiazolidinediones (TZDs), a kind of novel insulin sensitizer, and except for plays important roles in improving insulin resistance and reducing hyperglycemia level and inhibiting the development of atherosclerosis also, which is beneficial to diabetic Macroangiopathy. Therefore, in this study rats model of insulin resistance was set up by feeding S-D rats with a high-sucrose and high-fat diet then rats model of type 2 diabetes was set up by injecting them streptozotin intrapenitoneally. Rosiglitazone were given to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetic rats, and investigate the role of the activated NF-κB in pathophysiological of diabetic macroangiopathy complication and the relation between NF-κB activation and the expression of ICAM-1,VCAM-1 and MCP-1,and the mechanism of...
