Objetive:To investigate the significance in the clinical diagnosis of lung cancer by combined detection of the serum level of tumor markers including CYFRA21-1, CEA and CA125 in patients with lung cancer in Yanbian.Methods:Sixty-five lung cancer patients diagnosed between Mar 2009 to Oct 2010 in Yanbian were enrolled as research group, who aged 37-81 years and a mean of 65.3 years, including 45 male and 20 female,32 patients with squamous cell carcinoma,24 patients with adenocarcinoma and 9 patients with small cell lung cancer. Thirsty patients with benign pulmonary disease (BPD) including pneumonia, tuberculosis, tuberculous pleurisy, inflammatory pseudotumor, bronchitis, lung abscess and bronchiectasis were enrolled as BPD group, who included 20 male and 10 female. All cases were diagnosed by postoperative pathology, fibreoptic bronchoscopy pathology or cytology. Fasting venous blood was obtained from all cases in the morning and serum was separated by centrifugation. The level of tumor markers including CYFRA21-1, CEA and CA125 were detected with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. The normal reference values were descriptived in instruction manual:CEA<4.6ng/mL, CA125<35U/mL and CYFRA21-1<3.3ng/ml.Result:The serum level of CYFRA21-1, CA125 and CEA in lung cancer group were significantly higher than that of BPD group. And the method for combined detection of three tumor markers had an improved sensitivity, specificity and accuracy compared with the mothod for single detection of one tumor marker.Conclusion:1. It will improve diagnostic positive rate of lung cancer by combined detection of the serum level of tumor markers including CYFRA21-1, CEA and CA125, and the same to the patients in Yanbian. 2. It will improve the sensitivity and accuracy of clinical diagnosis for lung cancer by combined detection of the serum level of tumor markers including CYFRA21-1, CEA and CA125, and it is of a certain significance to identify the pathological type of lung cancer.
