| Objective To investigate protein Runx3 in the serum of the HCC patients and the normal, in order to explore the clinical significance of protein Runx3 in the serum of the HCC patients and evaluate whether the protein Runx3 can be one of tumor markers in the serum of the HCC patients. Method To measure the protein Runx3 in the serum of both 39 HCC patients and 51 normal persons with ELISA. Analyze the results comparing with two independent sample Wilcoxon rank sum test. Result some of samples are lower than the kit limit range, 9 cases of HCC samples and 5 cases of the normal are measured unmeaningfully. To analyze the results comparing with two independent sample Wilcoxon rank sum test, the protein Runx3 in serum in 30 cases of HCC are lower than 46 cases of the normal(P<0.05). Conclusion Expression of Runx3 in serum of HCC patients is lower than the normal. The lower expression of Runx3 in serum is closely related with the occurrence of HCC. Protein Runx3 as a serum tumor marker of HCC is not sensitive enough. |
