Objective: To explore the expression and inflammatory correlation of md2 in the pathphysiology of pancreatic encephalopathy during severe acute pancreatitis. Methods: 64SD rats were randomly divided into SAP group and Control group.SAP model was induced by retrograde bile-pancreatic duct infusion of 5% sodium taurocholate(NaTc).The control group was infused 0.9% Sodium chloride by the same methed. In all rats, the pancreatic pathology, the permeabilityof BBB, the expression levels of md2 and TNF-αin brain were observed at 2, 6, 12, 24h after operation. Results: Compared with the control groups, the pancreatic tissue in SAP groups presented a lot of edema ,hemorrhage, necrosis and inflammatory infiltrate cells. The expression level of md2 protein and md2mRNA showed remarkbly up-regulation in SAP groups(p<0.05).The level of TNF-αmRNA showed a correlation with md2mRNA at 2,6, 12,24h. The permeability of BBB showed remarkably increase at all time points (p<0.05).Conclusions: The SAP models were induced successfully by retrograde bilepancreatic duct infusion of 5% sodium taurocholate(NaTc). Md2 exists in normal cortex tissue and expresses remarkbly upregulation in the SAP groups. There were correlation between the permeability of BBB ,the expression levels of TNF-αmRNA and the expression levels of md2-mRNA .The express of md2 protein possibly participates in inflammatory signaling pathways of SAP, and leads to the increase of permeability of BBB and the release of inflammatory cytokins.
