Objective To study the pathogenesis, treatment and prevention of bile duct admage arising from hepatic artery embolization.Methods Two patients with intrahepatic and extraheptic biliary necrosis resulting from hepatic artery embolization. Of these patients, 2 were due to hepatic artery embolization for hepatic hemangioma .Results One patients were found to have necrosis to left hepatic bile duct to result in atrophy of left liver and Cholestasis,with left Hepatectomy and Roux-en-y cholangiojunostomy. Another were found Gangrene of gallbladder bile duct leakage sub-diaphragm hydrops with gallbladder removal and CVP tube drain at below right diaphragm.Conclusions Arterial embolization of hepatic hemangiom may cause sever biliary necrosis... |
