Abstract/Summary:
Objective:In the recent years, the incidence of gastric cancer continues to increase, and as it has no obvious early symptoms that lead to the diagnosis is difficult, so gastric cancers'recurrence rate and mortality is hihg. Embryonic antigen (CEA), carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) are the correlation of gastric cancer tumor markers, the diagnosis of gastric cancer with high specificity, this study was to evaluate CEA, CA19-9 in gastric cancer biological characteristics and diagnostic value of both. This research is to choose a suitable tumor marker and make a reasonable application of the theoretical basis for diagnosis of early gastric cancer.Methods:60 patients who were treated with gastric cancer in our hospital from December 2009 to June 2010 were enrolled, the patients were confirmed by endoscopy and surgical pathology, and the other 60 cases selected patients with benign gastrointestinal study object, Radioimmunoassay (RIA) and quantitative analysis were determined sandwich serum CEA, CA19-9 levels, determined by immunohistochemistry carcinoma CEA, CA19-9 expression. Analysis of single tumor markers and two markers combined detection of gastric cancer sensitivity, specificity and effectiveness of single-factor analysis of serum CEA, CA19-9 and the relationship between gastric pathophysiology.Results:⑴Serum of patients with gastric cancer CEA, CA19-9 levels were (37.8±25.6) ng/ml, (75.9±58.7) u /ml. Content in patients with benign lesions, respectively (2.1±0.8) ng/ml, (14.5±7.3) u/ ml. Patients with gastric cancer was significantly higher than benign lesions, the difference was significant, P <0.05.⑵CEA, CA19-9 in gastric cancer had significantly higher positive rate of benign lesions, the difference was significant, P <0.05. Gastric CEA, CA19-9 positive rate and the corresponding adjacent tissues positive rates were significantly different, P <0.05. ⑶Sensitivity and effectiveness of the joint are respectively 66.5%, 88.1% were significantly higher than the single test, P <0.05.⑷Single factor analysis showed that the serum CEA concentration and depth of invasion of gastric cancer, peritoneal metastasis, lymph node metastasis, liver metastasis, tumor size, involvement of surrounding organs are related to the serum CA19-9 concentration and depth of invasion of gastric cancer, tumor Size, lymph node metastasis, involvement of surrounding organs correlatedConclusion:⑴Sserum carcinoma CEA, CA19-9 in gastric cancer has important clinical significance in gastric cancer patients in the CEA, CA19-9 was significantly higher than benign lesions, the clinical diagnosis of gastric cancer can be used as a good secondary means of detection.⑵Positive rate of detection of individual index is not high, the joint detection of antigen to improve diagnostic sensitivity, validity, but still necessary in patients with clinical and imaging studies. Combined detection of gastric cancer screening is a simple and effective method.⑶Serum CEA concentration and depth of invasion of gastric cancer, peritoneal metastasis, lymph node metastasis, liver metastasis, tumor size, involvement of surrounding organs are related.serum CA19-9 concentration and tumor invasion depth, tumor size, lymph node, peripheral organ involvement correlated. serum CA19-9, CEA concentration on the diagnosis of gastric cancer and metastasis of important clinical value.
