| Objective: To observe the levels of lactic acid, D-dimer and Pocalcitonin in patients with septic shock and its relation with acute psychology and chronic health evaluationâ…¡as well as its function in prognosis evaluation. Methods: Retrospective analysis of 44 patients with septic shock admitted by Department of Emergency of First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from 2009.9.1 to 2010.9.1 and their basic vital signs, renal function, electrolytes, blood gas analysis, blood analysis, D-dimer, lactate, PCT and other indicators before ICU treatment, as well as their ages, APACHEâ…¡, number of dysfunctional organs during the disease courses was conducted to find the differences in the indexes of APACHEâ…¡, D-dimer, lactic acid, PCT were compared between survival group and dead group and analyze the relation between indexes of APACHEâ…¡, D-dimer, lactic acid and number of dysfunctional organs. Results: 14 out of 44 patients with septic shock survived and 30 patients died, with fatality rate being 68.18%. T test showed that there were significant differences in the indexes of APACHEâ…¡, D-dimer, lactic acid, PCT were compared between survival group and dead group; rank-sum test showed that there was significant difference in PCT from two independent samples ranked data; APACHEâ…¡and number of dysfunctional organs are positively related with D-dimer and lactic acid. Conclusions: The indexes of APACHEâ…¡, lactic acid, D-dimer and PCT of patients can be used to evaluate their condition before entering ICU as well as the evidence for prognosis; lactic acid and D-dimer can be used to predict the possibility for the occurrence of multi-organs dysfunctions. |
