Objective:To investigate the role of TP (thymidine phosphorylase) in the expression, blood vessel and osseous metastasis of Prostate cancer and to analyze the clinical value of TP and MVD in the diagnosis of Prostate cancer.Method:Forty-seven osseous metastasis and thirty-five non osseous metastasis cases were selected, with the rate of osseous metastasis at 58.9%. Hormones, chemotherapy and radio therapy were not used. Results:Immune histochemistry shows that TP mainly expresses in cell syrup, the syrup in positive cells is brown in color. TP expression in osseous metastasis group is significantly higher than that in non osseous metastasis group. (P<0.05)CD 34 in the vessel is positive and brown in color. Micro-vessel density (MVD) in osseous metastasis group is higher than non osseous metastasis. (P<0.05) Micro-vessel density in positive group is higher than that in negative group. (P<0.05)Conclusion:TP expression in osseous metastasis group is significantly higher than that in non osseous metastasis group, which indicates that over-expression of TP may play an important role in Prostate cancer and TP promotes the blood vessel, tumor growth and transfer. The detection of TP expression helps the inference of Prostate cancer transfer and the evaluation of immunology treatment on Prostate cancer patients.
