Objective This study examined the present situation of cardio-cerebral-vascular disease and diet habit of the age over18in rural Yimen county of Yunnan province based on a on-site health examination survey conducted in May2011. Research the relationship between the cardio-cerebral-vascular disease and diet habits in order to guide the dietary structure adjustment of residents. Combined with the local resources advantage, to propose the effective ways and suggestions to prevent and control for Cardio-cerebral-vascular disease, and then provide the scientific basis to prevent and control for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Methods (1)Yimen county of Yunnan province consisted of9townships.2townships was chosen based on multi stage random sampling method, and residents aged18and older of permanent population at home in the2townships were chosen randomly to the questionnaire survey and the medical examination.(2) The medical examination including:height, weight and waist, hip circumference, blood pressure measurement and fasting blood extraction, and testing total cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein and low-density lipoprotein on blood an empty stomach.(3)By using food frequency method, to ask and record feeding times, frequency and quantity of common food on the investigated crowd in recent1year, to reflect nutrients and dietary intake status to the research object for a relatively long period. All survey data were confirmed and checked, and then SPSS17.0software was used for statistical analysis. Results (1)615participants consented to participate in the survey, with a response rate of99.5%,including286male(46.5%) and329female(53.5%). The prevalence of smoking, alcohol, overweight, obesity and abdominal obesity of rural residents in Yimen county were24.2%,32.0%,26.9%,7.9%and56.7%,respectively.(2)189out of615people suffer hypertension and the prevalence is30.7%, in which male95people suffer hypertension and the prevalence is33.2%; female94people suffer hypertension and the prevalence is28.6%.As people grew older, the prevalence of hypertension is showing an upward trend (P<0.001).Multi-factor logtistic regression of hypertension suggests that, the risk of men suffering from hypertension is1.73times to the female (OR=0.577); Smoking is a risk factor on hypertension, and its risk is1.73times than the non-smoking (OR=1.700).(3)479out of615people suffer dyslipidemia and the prevalence is77.9%, in which male244people suffer dyslipidemia and the prevalence is85.3%; Female235people suffer dyslipidemia and the prevalence is71.4%. The prevalence of dyslipidemia in men is higher than women (P<0.001). Multi-factor logtistic regression of hyperlipidemia suggests that, the risk of men suffering from hyperlipidemia is2.40times to the female (OR=0.417); The risk of older people suffering from hyperlipidemia is higher than younger people (P<0.05). Alcohol drinking is a risk factor on hyperlipidemia, and its risk is1.10times than the non-drinking (OR=1.099).(4) The results of dietary survey show that, the intake of total energy, vitamins and minerals of rural residents in Yimen (the standard one) were inadequate, especially the intake of calcium accounted merely for54%of RNls.The energy coming from fat was a little high, and more than60%of fat intake was from animal food. Diet was mainly dominated by cereal. The intake of animal and poultry meat exceeds the dietary pagoda reference, and the intake of beans and products, milk, eggs and fish were lower than the dietary pagoda reference. The intake of animal oil and salt were very high. Multi-factor logtistic regression of diet suggests that, potato food was the protect factors, and Alcohol and salt food was the dangerous factors of hypertension; Potatoes, beans and its products and fish food were the protect factors, and edible animal oilwas the dangerous factors of hyperlipidemia. Conclusion In Yimen county of Yunnan province, the rural residents' prevalence of hypertension and hyperlipidemia was significantly higher than the current level of adult of our country. The intake of most of the dietary nutrients was inadequate and diet exists some unreasonable problem. Unreasonable diet habit has an impact on blood pressure and blood lipid. We should actively advocate scientific reasonable diet habit and lifestyle, adjust dietary structure, improve the health level, prevent cardio-cerebral-vascular disease, in order to reduce hazards of cardio-cerebral-vascular disease to the villagers.
