Use the collected samples to set up two corpuses:EMN (English Maritime News) Corpus and CMN (Chinese Maritime News) Corpus. Based on the Theme and Rheme division in Halliday's systemic-function grammar and the thematic progression of the Prague School Frantisek Danes, with four TP patterns of Zhu Yongsheng, this thesis studies the textual organization in the EMN and CMN.The results show that although the sequences on the application of four TP patterns in English and Chinese maritime news texts are different, there is no significance.
