The Identification Issues In Xian Yong Bai's Diaspora Literature

Diaspora Literature has always been hot debating topic since the 1990s among the literature theorists. Different people have different views towards this question. Xian Yong Bai is the typical writer of Diaspora literature. All his works are closely related with our Era and society development.The paper opens a door to see the Diaspora literature. It combined with related identification theories to discuss his great effect and his unique contribution in building writers'identification in Diasporas writings.The Paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduced Xian Yong Bai's Diaspora literary. He was born in a quite eminent family. His special family background and life experience had profound influence on his diasporas writing. Because of War, he shifted from Guilin to Nanjing and then Shanghai when he was a little boy. For the failure of the Kuomintang, he then moved to Taiwan with his family, and finally went to America for further study. These experiences made him suffered much, so Exile and losing motherland's root became the spirits in his diaspora writing.Chapter two mainly analyzed the descendant sense of postwar from the diaspora perspective. Through writing novels happened in the Republic of China with diaspora vision, reflected people rebuilt their homes in TaiBei and lived there.Chapter three mainly analyzed Bai's immigration writings after he went to America, he tried to explore the immigration people's embarrassed and squeezed situation between Chinese and western culture and showed their sufferings and pain of losing Chinese roots, as well as the culture conflicts they faced. This chapter mainly talked Bai's literary creation in the double even multicultural backgrounds and analyzed his position in the cultural identity anxiety.The fourth chapter simply sorted the identity construction in Bai's diasporas writing, especially confirmed his efforts insisting his cultural consciousness, and his work to build new cultural identification. His Diaspora literature expressed the distinctive of different ethnics' identification in the multicultural global background. Through the research of his identification writing can provide reference for studying other ethnicities writers'Diasporas creation as well, so as to enhance readers'fully understanding of Diaspora literature in the multicultural globalization background.
