| Theodore Adorno (Theodor Wiesengrund Adorno 1903.09.11-1969.08.06), a German philosopher, sociologist, esthetician, is the most important theorists of the Frankfurt School, especially, in literary theory and aesthetics considered by many to be one of the greatest achievements of one.This aticle aims to read from the "Aesthetic Theory" text to start, the meaning of modern art for some comprehensive and thorough combing, the purpose of modern art were investigated, the real and the functions of the core and the outline of modern art tends to clarity and accuracy.Paper is divided into five parts: introduction, three chapters and conclusion. Explained the origin of the main topics Introduction, ideas, significance, status and innovation points and the difficulties. The first chapter outlined the philosophical basis of Adorno's aesthetics. This chapter is divided into two sections: 1, the source of Adorno's philosophy, namely, Marxism, existentialism and anti-rationalism; 2, the idea of Critical Theory of Adorno star cluster, respectively, from Dialectic of Enlightenment, negative dialectics and culture Critical Interpretation of the three aspects of industry. Chapter II outlined the history of Adorno's aesthetics generation, is divided into two sections: 1, prophase aesthetics, mainly aesthetic in his Kierkegaard and criticism of the inheritance; 2, advanced aesthetics, this aesthetic theory, he focused on the negative aesthetics (mainly "aesthetic theory" that works) in the study, in this part of the United States focused on the concept of negative aesthetic problems, including beauty and ugliness, natural beauty and artistic beauty and aesthetic self-discipline, but also to do some of the negative interpretation of aesthetics itself. The third chapter is the focus paper mainly discusses Adorno "Aesthetic Theory," a book of modern art view shown. This chapter is divided into three sections: 1, Adorno in the eyes of the mass of modern art, for the negative aesthetics of modern art, modern aesthetic of modernity and social discussion; 2, the analysis of the functions of modern art: the depositary of truth, loss and Reconstruction self and social critic; 3, Adorno discusses the attitude of modern art - not just the defense, but to save them by criticism.
