| Zong Baihua's artistic philosophy can be classified into three parts:genesis of art feelings, creation theory of art, and the theory of artistic structure and state. According to Zong, feelings of art are generated from man's infinite sympathy towards the universe, the nature and his own life. The sympathy can be interpreted in three aspects:artistic philosophy of life, life philosophy and pantheism cosmology, and aesthetic sympathy. With sympathy in their consideration, artists are never content with the superficial imitation of the nature, but they are always in the pursuit of the artistic value created by the spiritual expression of it. The Genesis of art feelings and the creation theory of art determines the trinity structure of emotion, scenery, and form, and at the same time the state structure that is made up of realistic art, spiritual art, and realm-making. Artistic state is the inevitable resultant of artistic sympathy and art creation. It is a perfect embodiment of the Chinese art spirit, hence the essence of the spirit of artistic philosophy of China. |
