| The perception of "Soul" is the earliest religions consciousness and the source of all religions and ceremonies. Most peoples in the world all believe that there is the "soul", however, the understanding and forms of soul are different; even in the same country, the ceremonies are also different. The ceremonies in different regions of Thailand vary a lot. The Zhuang-China and the Thai-Thailand live in different countries, but their languages, mutual cultural backgrounds and ways of thinking are so similar with each other, including their similar procedures and items. By the pronunciation and meanings of the Zhuang dialect"khwan45"and Thai"khwan25", they share the same meaning"soul"but in different tunes. This thesis will make a research of comparative study on the evocation custom of Zhuang and Thai from the perspective of linguistics, anthropology and functionalism through literary data, field research, field visits.Through the complete analysis of linguistic similarity and common traditional cultures, this thesis is to analyze the similarities and differences of the Zhuang-Thai evocation customs and furthermore discover the root causes and predict that the"soul"in Zhuang and Thai are both borrowed from Chinese language. Both of them have soul consciousness and evocation customs before they migrated to be different countries. With the recurrence of evocation customs between Zhuang and Thai, this thesis proves that Zhuang and Thai are from the same origin. But there is no denying that with the development of history, the national cultures of the Zhuang and Thai will be changed gradually, and there will be more and more cultural differences between them. |
