Research Of Daur Fantastic Folktales

Daur folktales include the fantastic tales, the animal stories, the life stories, the resource character stories. This thesis discusses the fantastic tales which have the richest plots and types in Daur folktale. And divides the Daur fantastic tales into four types:the magical animal stories, the treasure stories, the supernatural beings stories, and the stories about the ghosts and gods, gremlins and monsters. The thesis based on the analysis of a large number of texts, summarized the overview and national characteristics of Daur fantastic tales by the Motif analytical method, Type research method, and Comparative research method. The thesis also discuss the situation of reference and impact between Daur and other ethnic group fantastic tales from the perspective of influence research. Research and analysis Daur fantastic tales will reveal that the national spirit, religion, deep psychology, cultural connotation which hidden in the Daur fantastic tales.There are five parts in this thesis:the preface is a general introduction of research about the folktales and Daur folktales by the worldwide scholars, states the research significance of the Daur fantastic tales. In addition, the preface also makes a presentation to the research methods in the thesis. There are number of research methods about folktale, this paper mainly uses the motif analysis method, typology and comparative research method, analyze the type and motif of the fantastic tales in different Daur regions, and compare the plot and structure of folktales with other ethnic groups, like the Han, Mongolian, Manchu, Ewenki, Oroqen, Hezhen and so on. Then explore the characteristics of Daur fantastic tales and the differences between the other ethnic groups. The first chapter introduces the cultural background of Daur fantastic tales, including the ethnic origin, ethnic name, history, religion, language, culture and so on. The second, third, fourth, fifth chapter is the focal point of the thesis, based on the extensive collection of text, divided the Daur fantastic tales into the magical animal stories, the treasure stories, the supernatural beings stories, and the stories about the ghosts and gods, gremlins and monsters. And introduce the content, plot structure and type of the four fantastic tales respectively, some preliminary comparison and motif research have been made by choose typical cases, reflect the cultural deposit of Daur folktales.In recent years, there are so many achievements about folktale researches of minorities in China, but the fantastic tales of the ethnic minorities have not received enough attention, especially Daur which have a small population and live in remote areas, lack of systemic research about its fantastic tales. These fantastic tales are inherited from ancestor, they seem to be stable, but after variant analyze of other ethnic groups, we can know that the folktales of ethnic group have been constantly improved and renewed themselves in the process of suit the new situations and based on the native customs. In the process of analysis about the Daur fantastic tales, the thesis pays attention to the influence of culture, folk custom and religion of the Daur fantastic tales macroscopically. On the microcosmic, research the Daur fantastic tales by the Comparative research method, the Typology and the Motif analysis method. Based on the previous studies, the thesis will make the research of the Daur folktales become more and more rich, strict and distinct.
