The violin is a melody instrument, whose musical quality lies mainly in bowing. The touch point of a bow, the speed of bowing and also the motion while bowing can affect the success or failure of playing a piece. Bach endowed violin playing with a very complicated contrapuntal form, paratactic melody and a lot of harmonic changes in his sonata. In this violin sonata, Bach broke the limit of previous rhythm instrument and used the counterpoint of three-part or four-part writing. The study analyzed the bowing problems while playing multi-musical part harmonic and how to solve the difficulty of bowing by theory integrating with practice. The objective of the study was how to use modern bow to play closer to Bach music characteristic.1. This paper has made a comparative research into Baroque bowing and modern bowing. Multitone method is one of the most main bowings in Baroque Period. The method is to play three or four notes with a bow at the same time. We can not do it with a modern bow. The study analyzed how to play multitone with modern bow. The effective way of bowing is to play the chords dispersedly.2. The study included the bowing of "Bach G minor violin sonata no instruments". And the comparative analysis of the speed and weight bowing and the bowing of different players is made. While multitone concordant notes and scattered notes are played, the speed of bowing and the weight of right hand to the bow need to be changed constantly as the different spots in melody.3. The study analyzed the application of bow in melody, rhythm, strength changes to "Bach G minor violin sonata no instruments" (the first movement and the second movement). In Bach era it is difficult to find specific rhythm changes, intensity changes, including marks of upper and lower bow. This is the crucial point that the proper bowing is chosen while rhythm changes are set and rhythm, strength changes are researched. The technique of the bowing deepened the string technique of Bach sonata no instruments by my practical experience and the theory. And I got some of the rules and tried to solve the difficulties in playing Bach sonata no instruments.
