The ancient snow paintings are precious legacies for Chinese nation by Chinese ancient painter.In ancient chinese painting,there is a large number of paintings base on the snow of subjuct,involveing landscape paintings,flower and bird paintings and figure paintings.In a word, the ancient painter enjoy showing the paintings with snow. Such paintings appeared in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and it flourished on Tang and Song Dynasties, then in the period of ming and qing continue to inherited and developed.Early from the light color paintings which have the realistic tends to the ink painting which focus on performance, whether in painting techniques or the performance of the picture style,both of therhave a great development .The snow paintings have its own unique culture and artistic charm.Because of the ancient snow paintings'unique color and composition,to create pictures have more actual situation and have fault-true effect. Snow paintings demonstrated lonely, quiet, clean, life and other artistic.It not only show the painter's love of winter landscape, especially the love of snow,but also show the artist's creative mind and spirit which they longing for outside the image.Ancient snow paintings are the products birth of the traditional Chinese philosophy and cultural's fusion.They are impacted of ancient Chinese Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism ideological and cultura,and these ideas are inextricably linked with the ancient snow paintings.We can say that these cultural ideas can be the traditional Chinese cultural roots of Snow paintings.The accumulation and integration of traditional Chinese cultural provided a necessary prerequisite for the birth of ancient snow painting,and it have a great guiding significance for it.
